Abstract
The purpose of this paper -using Charles Tilly´s methodological approach- is to analyse the emergence of
different “revolutionary situations” as well as to establish the existence or not of a “revolutionary outcome” in
Catalonia throughout the period ranging from 14th april 1931 to may 1937. To that end it will likewise verify
if the different situations (april 1931, october 1934 and july 1936) and the different outcomes that result from
these key conjuntures that Catalonia experienced along all this period are in line with the definitions proposed
by Tilly.
