Abstract
Art in general has been many times used as propaganda. Therefore, Emblematics worked in thesame way. As an example, we can highlight a series of engravings, illustrating the second edition of18th C. Juan de Palafox y Mendoza’s Obras completas. This artwork intends to honor the bishop inorder to achieve his canonization. This article explores those engravings more related to EmblematicLiterature, since Palafox himself showed an enormous interest in it.
