The city is the subject of a double production. As a physical object is the result of the intervention of disciplines such as urban planning, architecture or economics. These interventions generate constant processes of construction, destruction and transformation in the city. But the city is also an horizon of meaning, the result of an imaginary that citizenship projects on the built urban space. And when this search and attribution of meaning becomes reflexive, the urban subject constructs himself as a citizen in relationship with others, with the difference and otherness. This paper attempts to account for the way the film has thought and expressed the intervention processes, transformations and urban regeneration meanings in contemporary cities.
