As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The request has not been previously published, or presented to another journal (or an explanation has been given in Comments to the editor).
  • The text fulfills the bibliographic and stylistic requirements indicated in Norms for authors.
  • If you are applying to a section of the journal which is reviewed by pairs, you should make sure that the instructions in Guaranteeing a blind review are followed.
  • If the paper contains any kind of material whose reproduction requires for permission, please indicate this circumstance (using Comments to the editor). Authors are responsible for respecting intellectual property when they reproduce materials as part of their works and must send the corresponding permissions to the journal.
The editor, in any case, is free of any responsibility resulting from the author’s eventual violation of intellectual property rights.

Submission of an original manuscript to the Journal will be taken to mean that it represents original not previously published, and that it is not being considered elsewhere for publication. Authors commit themselves not to send it to another publication,  as long as the Board of Editors doesn’t inform about its decision.

- The journal takes the stance that the publication of scholarly research is meant to disseminate knowledge and, in a not-for-profit regime, benefits neither publisher nor author financially.

  • ?     File formats .rtf , .doc, .docx or .odt
  • ?     Page size: A4
  • ?     Font: Times New Roman, 12pt

Manuscripts:

-First page: all research articles should include the following information: title that does not exceed 40 characters, abstract, summary of all the headings of the article and 5 key words. This information must be provided in the original language of the text and in English.

Under the title, the name of the author, the institution where the work was carried out and the electronic address of the author should be included.

In addition, the author should include a brief biographical note of 5 to 7 lines in the original language of the text and in English, one for each author, if the text is shared. This biographical note will contain the affiliation to the university or research center and the Twitter account, if available, among other academic indications. It will be introduced before the beginning of the body of the text, after titles, abstract, summary and key words.

-Abstract: the abstract text will have an extension between 250 and 300 words and will be followed by the corresponding keywords.

- Footnotes: The notes must be numbered consecutively. If a note refers to the heading of the article, it should be marked with an asterisk.

- Tables and figures: they will appear in the corresponding location inside the text, preceded by their title and followed by a foot with the origin of the source and those data necessary for the proper interpretation of the table.

-Bibliographic references: all references included in the text will appear alphabetically ordered at the end of the document under the heading "Bibliographical references". The citations will conform to the APA publication standards in their "Publication Manual" (7th ed.). Details about this style can be found on the website: http://www.apastyle.org/manual/index.aspx

-DOI: in case of quoting in the bibliography articles of electronic journals, the url of the DOI of each article should be included, in case it had it. The following is a reference example of an article with DOI:

On the CrossRef website you can check if articles have a DOI. To use the CrossRef search engine you only have to register an email and once done, write all the references in the corresponding text box, mark the option "List all possible DOIs per reference" and launch the search.

RICD will not be responsible for reviewing citations in text, bibliographic references according to the APA nor for the inclusion of DOI. In this way, no article will be accepted in which these criteria are not carefully reviewed and fulfilled by the author.

Authorship of the works:

  • - In multiple authorship works, the responsible author must be identified, who will also be the contact author. It is the responsibility of said author to guarantee the recognition of all the authors who share the responsibility of the work and to ensure that all know and approved the final version of the document.
  • - The names of the authors must appear in alphabetical order by the first surname, in the event that all contributed in the same way to the work. If the contribution of each author is different, it is recommended to include it in a note, using the conventional CRediT terminology (https://casrai.org/credit/).
