Factores determinantes de la adecuación entre formación y empleo de los licenciados portugueses

Este trabajo aborda los determinantes de la inserción laboral de los graduados en educación superior, utilizando un modelo de regresión logística para identificar variables explicativas relacionadas con características socio-demográficas, de trayectoria académica e institucionales. El análisis empírico se basa en un cuestionario anónimo en línea aplicado a un conjunto de graduados, de 2014 a 2019, en instituciones portuguesas. Se analizaron alrededor de quinientas observaciones. Aunque los límites entre las universidades y las escuelas politécnicas son menos obvios hoy en día, aún existen algunas diferencias entre los dos subsistemas de educación superior con respeto a la adecuación del empleo a la educación. Las principales diferencias están relacionadas con el campo de estudio, el género y la necesidad de desplazarse a un distrito diferente del domicilio familiar para estudiar y trabajar. También se encuentran factores que mejoran la probabilidad de adecuación educación-empleo, comunes a ambos subsistemas, como son i) haber estudiado "ciencias sociales, comercio y derecho" e "ingeniería, fabricación y construcción", ii) haber obtenido buenas notas finales, y iii) haber participado en actividades extracurriculares de formación complementaria.
