Abstract

This article narrates a “best practice”. A trip to nowhere in which children, teachers and families leave the school walls to explore the neighborho-od through the eyes of the youngest. And in which, adults share their impressions individually and col-lectively, builiding and rebuilding their childhood image and their role as companions of young children who are capable and eager to relate and discover the world. The article reflects the authors’ opinions: the teacher in charge and the researcher who accompa-nied her during a whole school year. But for most, it gives voice to the families that actively participated in this project. Through their voices and dialogues we understand how this “this trip to nowhere ” is a “best practice” that enhances the relationship betwe-en school and families, and contributes to the con-struction of an education based on children´s rights.
