Génesis de la definición cultural del arte mudéjar: los años cruciales, 1975-1984

Abstract

A personal account by the author, by way of an academic autobiography, in which the historiographical process is analysed in relation to his concept of Mudéjar art, leading to the proposal of a cultural definition that regards it as an alternative system of work to western European Christian art and as the continuation of the Andalusian artistic tradition in Christian Spain, both in terms of structures and architectural decoration, with Moorish master builders playing an essential role.
