The phenomenon of “spin doctoring” focuses on the relationship between the “spin doctors” and the journalists. According to professor Jose Luis Dader, we can translate the verb “to spin” according to the Webster dictionary as “to form a thread by extruding a viscous rapidly hardening fluid —used especially of a spider or insect”. This idea involves understanding this activity as a “net knitting” to journalists by advisors, in a subtle and surreptitious way, to wrap them and implement their information, especially through informal contacts. In this paper I try to know the rules of “game” that Spanish professionals have established in relation with the “spin doctoring” and the level of democracy between these areas.
