Presencia pública de la ciudadanía vasca: ¿Cuestión de edad?

Abstract

During last decades the idea that Western citizenship has progressively withdraw from the public sphere has been spread. This produced a low participation rates in areas such as voting or strikes, being particularly among the youth people. This article’s aim is to approach to the political participation reality —and its modes— in the actual Basque society’s case, in which terrorist activity has ceased. The descriptive analysis will take into account the age as independent variable, and how it modules the participation in several political activities, such as membership of various associations, which may facilitate the integration into society.
