Abstract

The article analyses the training of students in the Master's program for Secondary Education Teacher Training in Spain, assessing the suitability of the content taught. It identifies issues such as the repetition of topics already covered in the Bachelor's degree and the lack of essential content for teaching practice. Through a qualitative and quantitative study conducted at two universities, it concludes that, although the Master's program does not significantly repeat the content of the Bachelor's degree, there is a lack of coordination between subjects and a deficit in teaching practical and relevant aspects, such as attention to diversity and innovative methodologies.
