Abstract

In contrast with the resonance of the myth of personal autonomy in post-modern thought, we are going to explore the new technologies of power and submit to a coercive and “other-directed” subjectivation, since our system of emotions proves to be, according to the evolution of the capitalist system, much more decisive than any other ideological armour. In a horizon marked by illusion for autonomy, innovation and seduction, the invisible tyranny of Capital increasingly revolves around the production and disinhibition of desire, by means of techniques that not only systematically produce work equipments and consumer goods, but manipulate and define us.
