Abstract

Ethics and education are the two main axis on which Miguel de Unamuno organizes his practical philosophy. Thus, this article tries to discover Unamuno as a thinker who builds up his life and work on the basis of love, whereby his pedagogy receives a direct impact, as well as his way of understanding erostratism –one of the key concepts of his philosophy-. Firstly, it is analysed Unamuno´s perspective of the foundation whereon love is sustained. Secondly, it is explored the different interpretations that he assumes and from which his notion of erostratism is born. Finally, it is presented the unamunian educational proposal: a human pedagogy based on love.
