Resumen

Las bases epistemológicas del modelo biomédico se consolidaron a lo largo del siglo XX con un enfoque tan científico como la física. La herencia del arte médico o tekhné se arrinconó a favor de la retórica empirista y el discurso autoritario de la estadística y los ensayos clínicos. Sin embargo, en los estertores de ese mismo siglo se produce un renovado interés por recuperar enfoques hermenéuticos e interpretativos de las experiencias de pacientes, que habían sido arrinconadas y marginadas al ser concebidas bajo la sospecha de lo subjetivo. En este articulo, articulado a partir del análisis de la emergencia de la Narrative Based Medicine y la Terapia Narrativa, se describen los procesos de trasferencia y el impacto que la antropología y las ciencias sociales han tenido en la epistemología médica contemporánea.
