Abstract
Based on the question about how urban peripheries are represented today, this paper studies the case of one of them specifically, the municipality of Ecatepec de Morelos, in the State of Mexico, Mexico. In the first part of the paper, some considerations are briefly presented in relation to the representation issues of urban peripheries; also some concepts that help us clear this are showed. In the second part, we proceed to expose the concrete representation problems that an area like Ecatepec de Morelos presents. Finally, in the third part, four different cases of representations that challenge and make original proposals to the question of the representation of an urban periphery like Ecatepec de Morelos are analyzed and exposed.
