Abstract

O compromiso organizativo é un constructo de enorme interese para as empresas, dada a relación existente entre este e os distintos indicadores do funcionamento organizativo, como a pro-dutividade, o nivel de absentismo e rotación, o estrés laboral ou a satisfacción do cliente. Esta impor-tancia vólvese maior, se iso é posible, nunha situación de crise como a actual, onde eses indicadores son claves para o éxito das organizacións en xeral e para as hoteleiras en particular, que se caracte-rizan por un contacto intenso cos clientes. Baixo este prisma, este artigo pretende desenvolver o co-ñecemento sobre o compromiso organizativo dos empregados do sector hoteleiro (concretamente na provincia e na cidade de Córdoba) e a súa relación con determinadas variables persoais destes. Neste sentido, apréciase claramente unha relación lineal e progresiva con respecto á idade dos traballado-res e inversa co seu nivel educativo. Desta forma, preténdese que a través do mellor coñecemento deste constructo, os directivos hoteleiros entendan a importancia do seu desenvolvemento e que o poñan como obxectivo das diferentes áreas de influencia no capital humano.
