Exploración de la relación entre las prácticas de gestión del conocimiento y el rendimiento operativo: evidencia empírica de las pymes nigerianas

Resumen
El estudio examinó la influencia de las prácticas de gestión del conocimiento en diversos aspectos de rendimiento operativo, entre ellos la calidad de los productos y servicios, la gestión de costes y la rapidez de entrega, en las pymes de Nigeria. Se empleó un diseño de investigación descriptivo para recopilar datos de una muestra estratificada de 393 pymes de diversos sectores mediante cuestionarios estructurados. El análisis de los datos se realizó utilizando el modelo de ecuaciones estructurales de mínimos cuadrados parciales (PLS-SEM). Los resultados revelan que la aplicación del conocimiento (β = 0,175, t = 2,531, p < 0,05) y el intercambio de conocimientos (β = 0,221, t = 3,169, p < 0,05) tienen una influencia positiva y significativa en la calidad de los productos y servicios. La captura (β = 0,110), el almacenamiento (β = 0,125) y la creación (β = -0,031) de conocimientos fueron insignificantes. En cuanto a la gestión de costes, la captura de conocimientos fue la única significativa (β = 0,163, t = 2,012, p < 0,05). Por el contrario, se observó que la aplicación (β = 0,190), el intercambio (β = 0,169) y el almacenamiento (β = 0,154) de conocimientos tenían un impacto positivo y significativo en la velocidad de entrega. Los resultados destacan la necesidad estratégica de la aplicación, el intercambio y el almacenamiento del conocimiento para mejorar el rendimiento operativo de las pymes. Este estudio también anima a seguir investigando otros factores que afectan a la eficiencia de costes de las pymes en las economías emergentes.
