Estrategias artísticas en los procesos de significación de las enfermedades mediáticas y periféricas y en su expulsion del espacio público

Abstract

Firstly, we will study how artistic practices impact on the signifi cation process of headline-making diseases and on the visibilisation of more peripheral diseases, encouraging their increased presence and inclusion in our public spaces. We will then, as part of the results obtained, provide a systemised account of the artistic strategies developed in the western world in this respect from the second half of the 20th century.
