Résumé

Due to the monastic reforms and the diocesan reorganisation included in the Council of Trnt, the Spanish nobility lost its control over church incomes and posts. The Juntas del Reino, formed by representatives from the nobility, were heavily involved in the recuperation of ecclesiastical benefices for natives of Galicia, particularly in the recuperation of monasteries' autonomy and the consolidation of charters favouring the middle-men, who were usually the nobles themselves.
