Abstract

This article is a contribution to the study of the royal proclamations celebrated in the capital of the kingdom of Mallorca, Palma, from the establishment of Bourbons once the War of Spanish Succession ends. The purpose is to know what were the preparations for the royal proclamation in the capital of the island kingdom, as well as the proclamation ceremony, the equestrian games, the guild parties and the mock naval combats and fireworks held on the last day of the festive program. The article also includes an analysis of who paid and the expenses that caused the royal proclamation.
