Abstract

This article aims to ask some questions about the embassies of the town council and cathedral chapter at Burgos, which had the responsability of telling their condolences about the death of some members of the Austrias´ dinasty and of making manifest their loyalty and service towards the monarchy. What was its meaning and content or who were the ones who took responsability of the matter, which was their social ground, and how they acted in that situation. This article will also analyze the relationship that existed between this two local institutions and the Court in that situation
