The analysis of ecclesiastical economy constitutes one of the most productive approachs to the historical definition of Modern Spain. In this piece of work is aborded the knowledge of the "mitra" of Plasencia, one of the most important extremadurian diocese, at the end of the Ancient Regime. From the studies of the preceptive framework that rules the everyday life of the bishopric, their main economic variables are analysed, a key question for the global comprehension of the region in this essential moment of its history.
