The author studies the devotions promoted by the Spanish Jesuit, insisting in the mechanisms that they employed to spread them. He tries also to explain the essential features of the religiosity that the Jesuit tried to implant through the interior missions and the congregations, intimately bound phenomena, in Spain on the second half of the XVIIth century and the first decades of the XVIIIth.
