Espacios de poder: orden familiar, nobleza y uso de los derechos patrimoniales en la Barcelona moderna

Abstract

About idea of authority realtions in politicals primary cells, specially the domestic and familiar sphere, this study presents one of the principals forms of exercise those realtions in a family pattern pertaining to the urban nobility in early modern Barcelona. The form of power's exercise protagonist in this study is involved with land's accounts, and the sources of documentary information proceeds on family's disputes about marriage portions, heritage and exclusion privilege. We observe that exclusion system is very important on concentration of family power, -this family power act in numerous family's events and specially supervise on subordinate and dependent relationship¡s nucleus-, but also founds an order about patrimony's nobility, and order will be tranformed con costum. The members of family with patrimony power have also decision about the social and economic¡s possibilitys of dependent relationship's nucleus. The women play an impotant role for the history of inheritance. The law reinforce marriage portions and the heir's widows will be his substitute. The family orde was based on authority relations, power relations.
