Hernando de Ojea, João Salgado de Araujo, Juan Fernández de Boán Temes Araújo and Gregorio de Lobariñas Feijoo wrote some new general histories and geographical descriptions of Galicia, which can be dated from 1600 to 1640. G. Lobariñas, also, wrought the manuscripts of As Galegadas and A história de Galicia and he tried, in 1616 and 1626, to obtain the royal licence to print these now lost two books written in Galician language. The main approach adopted here looks at some material bibliographic aspects of the writing ot these historiographical works, from authorship to scribal publication, language, dedicace and patronage, with special regard to their unsuccesful way to the printing press.
