Redefinición del mapa local vs cooperación interadministrativa en Portugal

Abstract

Beginning from some constitutional background elements, which are the definition themselves of local autonomy, this article tries to evidence the connection between the phenomenon of local bodies cooperation, and the propensity subsistence and preservation of the number of Portuguese municipalities over the last decades.
