La política cultural de los Gobiernos Autonómicos de la Comunidad de Madrid: su singularidad en el contexto autonómico español

Abstract

This article examines several factors (social, political historical, ideological, territorial, and artistic) that constrain political action of the Governments of the Autonomous Community of Madrid in the cultural field in the Spanish democratic period. This analysis concludes that the cultural policy of the Community of Madrid has singularities with respect to the formulation and implementation of cultural policies of other autonomous Spanish entities. Also, we examine the local cultural policy in their municipalities, following a priority, focusing on that territory in the province that is not part of the Spanish capital.
