As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The request has not been previously published, or presented to another journal (or an explanation has been given in Comments to the editor).
  • The text fulfills the bibliographic and stylistic requirements indicated in Norms for authors.
  • If you are applying to a section of the journal which is reviewed by pairs, you should make sure that the instructions in Guaranteeing a blind review are followed.
  • If the paper contains any kind of material whose reproduction requires for permission, please indicate this circumstance (using Comments to the editor). Authors are responsible for respecting intellectual property when they reproduce materials as part of their works and must send the corresponding permissions to the journal.
    The editor, in any case, is free of any responsibility resulting from the author’s eventual violation of intellectual property rights.

1. All works must be submitted via the OJS editorial management  platform of RIPS: https://revistas.usc.gal/index.php/rips/about/submissions.

2. The Editorial office will automatically reject  the manuscripts that do not adjust  to the topics  of the Journal and/or do not respect any of the requirements referred in what follows.

3. Works sent to RIPS must:

  • Be unpublished and not be approved for publication in another journal.
  • Be written in Galician, Spanish, English, French, Portuguese or Italian.
  • Abide by the following maximum and minimum lenght:
  • - Collaborations: 20,000 to 40,000 characters.
  • - Reviews of books and research notes: 4,000 to 10,000 characters.

4. Works must to adjust to the bibliographic and stylistic hours that can be seen/downloaded at: Plantillas_RIPS

5. Authors will receive the result of the process of evaluation by email about six months after the reception of the original by the Editorial office.

6. RIPS Editorial office can send the authors, the first proof of their work, indicating the deadline by wich the authors must proofread the work and sent it back together with the conclusions of the proofreading. Corrections on redraftings entailing for a new layout of the text will not be accepted. After that deadline, in case the author(s) has/have not included the results of the proofreading via the OJS editorial management platform, RIPS will publish the work without the pertinent correctors. Second proofs will always be a responsibility of the Editorial Board.
