Abstract

The species of the Solanaceae family are one of the groups that contributes the most to the human diet. and this inevitably entails its high dispersion throughout the planet. Some of these species, as they spread through new territories, behave like invasive plants and their populations must be identified and controlled. This article documents the presence of 4 new species of Solanaceae for Galicia, 3 of the genus Solanum L., S. mauritianum, S. carolinense and S. betaceum Cav., and one of the genus Lycianthes, L. L. rantonnetii (Carrière) Bitter.
