Abstract

This article is divided into two parts. The first one holds that the place name Vigo dates from Early Middle Ages and not from the Roman era. In the second part I propose the hypothesis that Burbida in Itinerary of Antoninus was situated in Vigo. As well I propose a new route for 19th Roman road that connected the port of Vigo with ancient Tude and Turoqua
