The main subject is the Spanish regulation for the sanction imposed to those who commit two or more crimes, concentrating on the changes made by the last legislative acts (LO 7/2003 and LO 11/2003) and the future modification of our Criminal Code, making specific reference to the effect of this changes on the sanctions for crimes against property. The constitutional validity of this regulation is questioned, as well as its positive effect in crime statistics.Regarding the current project of a new Criminal Code, the coherence of the changes in sanctions for two or more crimes with the rest of the modification is questioned, maintaining that the current project givesthe politicians an opportunity to change the regulation now in force for a fairer one for the convict.
