Resumen

En 2018 se localizaron los restos de un nuevo campamento militar temporal romano en Castrocontrigo/Castru, en La Valdería (León). En esta nota se presenta en primer lugar la metodología utilizada para su localización y documentación mediante teledetección (a partir de datos LiDAR y fotografía aérea). Posteriormente se realiza una descripción de las evidencias reconocidas, compuestas por estructuras terreras que delimitan un recinto con planta en forma de naipe, y de su frágil estado de conservación. Finalmente, con el fin de integrarlo en los debates académicos, se formulan algunas hipótesis de trabajo para su contextualización crono-funcional dentro de los siglos iniciales de presencia romana en el noroeste ibérico.
