Over the last decade, the Spanish regions have gradually been adopting laws on equal opportunities for women and men, in line with the corporate joint of deliberative bodies and management both within the parliamentary chambers as in government charts. The purpose of this article is to analyze the process by which the Autonomous Communities have reflected the principle of gender equality in the field of political participation, with special emphasis on the projection of parity democracy and its scope (v. Gr., minimum threshold of balanced presence) on electoral legislation, the approval of parliamentary committees and the creation of bodies, such as Institutes, as part of the administrative framework. The article highlights the need to develop concrete sanctions for breach of the provisions of electoral parity, mainstreaming and integrating all the institutions and rules in effect incidence.http://dx.doi.org/10.15304/rips.14.2.2798
