A classical feature of Political Science is the difficulty to agree upon both what it studies and how should that study be conducted. Whereas the problem of its content can be examined stemming from the distinction between a restricted and an exhaustive conception of politics, the problem of its method leads to the question of whether is it science what it usually does -or not at all. In fact, there is no univocal solution to such ambiguities. If Political Science is to be pacified, we should accept the fact of its pluralism and even a healthy skepticism about its scientific reach, in order to deal serenely with the task of sistematically explain a reality which always remain somewhat elusive.
