Medición psicofisiolóxica das emocións políticas. Unha análise dos seus antecedentes e proposta metodolóxica

Resumo
O presente traballo examina a pertinencia e as limitacións dos modelos tradicionais de predición electoral no campo da Ciencia Política. Sinálase como os métodos clásicos baseados en variables sociodemográficas e actitudinais están a perder precisión debido á información incorrecta proporcionada polos enquisados e ao xiro emocional derivado da espectacularización da política. Destácase a necesidade de buscar novos enfoques que incorporen a medición das emocións, principalmente baseados na teoría da intelixencia afectiva de George Marcus, co apoio de técnicas de medición psicofisiolóxica. Obsérvanse estudos que utilizaron a electroencefalografía (EEG) e a variabilidade da frecuencia cardíaca (VFC) para predicir o comportamento electoral con maior precisión que os métodos tradicionais, así como modelos de determinación da emoción de maneira automática. A fin de resolver os problemas dos modelos actuais, proponse a creación dun novo modelo que combine o autoinforme e a resposta fisiolóxica para mellorar a predición do comportamento político.
