Abstract

This study aims to conduct a guided reading of the second semester of the course What Does It Mean to Think? (Was heiβt denken?), taught by Martin Heidegger at the University of Freiburg during the summer semester of 1952. Particular attention is given to lectures VII to XI, where a verse from Parmenides’ poem is analyzed, serving as a means to explore the "matter of thinking" (die Sache des Denkens). The goal is to engage in a reading exercise that creates a dialogical space—conversing and reflecting alongside the inherited lessons—to uncover the paths charted in this course toward the question of the truth of being. This interpretive space aims to establish reading keys that enable students and researchers to deepen their own experience of Heidegger's path of thinking.
